Seed . Packaging Technology

Burundi project

We have made great headway in burundi, rolling over a 3 year project distributing over a million seed packets

Australia Project

Talks are underway to use seed packets to reclaim the forests destroyed by bushfires

What is seed packaging technology?

The seed packet has a pillow-like shape with a cover made of sheep’s wool, containing a growth substrate and seeds which when broadcasted will germinate without need of nurseries.

They are very effective since they can be used to reforest large inaccessible areas by using aeroplanes, catapults, by hand and many more…

Crisis: THE LOSS OF OUR FORESTS IS CAUSING.

GLOBAL WARMING
Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, we have cleared forests for settlement, raw material
WATER SHORTAGE
Globally, 844 million people lack access to clean water. Without clean, easily accessible water, families and communities are locked in poverty for generations.
INCREASE OF GREEN HOUSE GASES
With reduced forests cover there are less trees to recycle carbon.

This has led to increased green house gases.
SOIL EROSION
The trees hold on to the soil, which reduces soil erosion. The absence of trees means that soil erosion is rampant

Due to improved technology and advance in medicine, the world population has grown exponentialy

Increasing Population

The global population has grown from 1 billion in 1800 to 7.616 billion in 2018.

Overpopulation leads to deforestation

The Ultimate Solution

Seed Packaging Technology

Advantages of seed Packets

Water-conservation

The seed packets is specially designed to hold up to a litre of water and can retain enabling the seeds to germinate

accessibility

The seed packet can be distributed through aerial means, by use of aeroplanes and catapults, this enables access to the hard to reach areas

chemical~free

All raw materials used are bio-friendly and biodegradable hence, friendly to the environment.

what they say

emmanuel juma. community elder

Since we adopted the use of seed packets we have had our ground cover increase drastically. Soil erosion is now an issue of the past. We also have had an increase in the amount of rain in our area, thanks to the trees.

Charles Ryan. commercial miller

We spent a lot of resources setting up nurseries with a 60% survival rate of the trees. with this technology we have almost halved our cost with more trees reaching maturity
